Tupac

History

(Tupac Amaru Shakur, New York, 1971 -1996) American rapper, probably the most influential in the history of the genre. Killed in youth in circumstances not yet cleared, his premature death truncated an ascending race and contributed to elevate it to the category of rap legend.

His parents, members of the Black Panthers, split shortly after his birth. He spent much of his childhood in continuous travels throughout the country, in the company of his brothers and his mother. Despite living in poverty, he managed to enter the prestigious school of Fine Arts in Baltimore, where, rapping and acting live, began to develop his creativity. Before graduation, she and her family moved to Marin City, California.

It was the year 1988, and thereafter I would live in the streets. Meet G-Shock, leader of Digital Underground, and soon joins the band as a dancer and roadie. In 1991 he made his first record appearance in This is an E.P. Release of Digital Underground. The first 2Pac album came in 1992: it was titled 2Pacalypse Now and became gold record with the single Brenda's got a baby. Already this first disc provoked stir by its letters; Even Vice President Dan Quayle attacked him in his election campaign.

2Pac's popularity increased considerably with its appearance in a couple of films, Juice and Poetic Justice, the latter by famed color director John Singleton. In 1993 was released Stricly 4 and N.I.G.G.A.Z., second album of the rapper, with which managed to place a pair of singles in the top 15 American.

Her career followed a rising line, but several incidents altered. Before engaging in music, 2Pac had no police record. In 1992 he was arrested for his involvement in a fight that ended the accidental death (by a stray bullet) of a six-year-old boy, although he was released shortly thereafter. When it was in full filming of Menace II Society, it attacked to the director of the film, reason why spent fifteen days in the shade.
